In these uncertain times of the COVID-19 outbreak, Fund it will continue to help Ireland’s creative community as best we can. Our mission is to support creatives in accessing funds via their network and we want to assure our community that we will do everything we can to continue to help you make your ideas happen. We want creators to keep submitting their projects and we’re on call to answer any queries from project creators, funders, creatives and the general public.
At present, Fund it is taking the following steps to support the creative community on the island of Ireland over the coming weeks and months:
- Fundit.ie is accepting COVID-19-related emergency fundraising campaigns from March until the end of May. This will allow anyone in the creative sector that has experienced a sudden loss of income or may require funds as a result of COVID-19 to harness the power of their supporters to fund some or all of their needs
- From March until the end of May we are also reducing our commission for COVID-19 related crowdfunding campaigns from 8% to 4% during this period. i.e. only bank and payment and basic admin processing charges apply. We will work to reduce these further over the coming weeks [update as of 31st May: please note commission has reverted to 8%]
We’re a small but mighty team so we’d ask you to communicate with us through our support email email@example.com as much as possible over the next couple of weeks to help us manage the workload as efficiently as possible. Now is a time for unprecedented national effort and we’re going to play our small part through our homegrown crowdfunding platform.
We’ll provide further updates to this page on a weekly basis. If you have an idea that you would like to discuss with the Fund it team, please make contact via support(at)fundit.ie or phone us at Fund it HQ.
