Hi Everyone!
We are currently raising funds to help us create our graduate film! We are in our final semester of Film and Broadcasting and we need your help to make our film a reality.
Our film is set around the relationship between one of history's most infamous couples. Set during World War 2, we have to create an entire bunker setting and emulate the scene of a period war film. There is humour, but also anxiety and tension.
We have been working really hard raising money and investing our own money in order to fund our project but will not be enough to accommodate the requirements of the project. We still need more to get us through.
This project is really important to all of our crew as it counts towards our college degree and because we are really passionate about it. We want the film to do well, as a reflection of us and our talents.
If you choose to fundus, you will be helping the future generation of Irish filmmaking talent find their feet in the industry.
We feel like our script is unique and something that has never been done before, especially in a graduate film. It's something that will appeal to a lot of people, as it's wit and humour is broad enough to reach a large audience.
What We Need & What You Get
To make this film happen, we need:
Overall, we need to raise at least €1,500 in order to cover equipment costs, production design, costumes, make-up and actors fees. We have been working around the clock to get this project up and running but we still need more funding. All of the funds are going towards seeing this project through to the end, including distribution to national and international festivals.
We are filming from the 9th of March until the 12th. The weeks are coming in fast and we are working around the clock to make this film happen. The film will be screened in the popular Lighthouse cinema at the end of term in May 2016 to a large audience and then after that we will be submitting it to festivals both nationally and internationally.
Our project showcases young Irish talent at it's best. We have been working towards this project for nearly 4 years, and now it is finally happening. Most of us hope to go on and work in the industry in the future, and so making this movie as professional looking as possible is the ultimate goal.
Previous graduate films have proved extremely successful. Some previous graduate films include I've Been A Sweeper which starred Eamonn Morrissey and Moone Boy's David Rawle. Graduates from our course include Dohmnall Gleeson and Ronan and Rob Burke.
If you can't pledge money, please like and share this page on your Facebook, Twitter or anywhere that can get the word out to people. Anything counts and we appreciate any help you can give.
Thank you!
