Aoife Scott - New Album

By Aoife Scott

About Aoife and New Album

Hi Everybody, I'm a folk singer songwriter and I'm about to embark on the journey of recording my second album. Since making my first album I have literally been on the road, gigging all over the world - from France to Fiji, and It has been the most incredible journey. I'm really excited and so grateful to be here and ready to record.

This new album is one that has been developing for the past 3 years while we have been touring with my first album "Carry The Day". We've been collecting songs/writing songs/collecting ideas and I'm really excited to be able to go in to the studio to record now.
The first album took a long time to make, and I learned so much from the process.
Also I learnt so much from crowdfunding the album, and how crowdfunding can help with everyone getting involved from the very beginning.

This time around I feel a bit stronger, a bit braver, and very grateful for where I am today.

(Delivery of 1st Album - 2016)

What I've been doing since the release of the 1st Album  - Carry The Day

The past 3 years I've spent on the road with Andy Meaney, my partner, touring the album "Carry the Day" with the lovely lads in my band. We have been very lucky. We've toured Ireland, Scotland, England, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Denmark, The Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, and driven the whole width of United States on a nationwide tour. Myself and Andy have been writing songs, collecting songs all along the way. I've also been writing with Enda Reilly again (Co-writer of songs on "Carry the Day"). This time we've gotten the chance to work with Ron Block of Union Station (Alison Krauss) and we can't wait to start work with him.

Crowdfunding - How you can help

Crowdfunding has been a major part of my life since I started on my music career. Involving everybody is the best part of making an album! Sharing the time and ideas from day one.

The money funded will be spent on the recording/producing/mixing/mastering and duplication for the project. Any extra funds will be used for promotional purposes and publicity. The album will be released in Autumn/Winter 2019. With album launches and Album Launch tour to come with it.

For more info about launch dates  Click Here

Thank you - Go raibh míle maith agaibh

Thank you so much for reading, for considering and for supporting this project in advance. I know that I am so lucky to be in a position to make this album, and I am so grateful for all of your support in advance. Go raibh míle maith agaibh.

Exciting Update on the new album "HomeBird"

Hello Everybody!

Aoife here – hope you’re all well! I am writing to you all from Buchanan Michigan, USA…Where we are beginning our summer US Tour. This weekend we performed at Dublin Irish Festival, in Dublin Ohio! From Dublin to Dublin!

We had an absolute ball. We’re here for another 5 weeks, travelling around the US, meeting gorgeous people, and playing songs.

I am writing to tell you the good news!

We have finished the album!

I know, I’m in shock!

To be honest, it still doesn’t feel real.

Here is the cover! Eep!

It has been a wonderful process, with an unbelievable producer – Ron Block – and some incredible musicians including Andrew Meaney, Stuart Duncan, Sierra Hull, Daire Bracken, Eamonn De Barra, Floriane Blancke, Peter Browne, Conor Lyons, Cathal O Curráin, James BlennerHasset and the extended Black Family on backing vocals (Mary, Frances, Martin, Eoghan and Róisín)

This album had literally taken over my life for the past 5 months, I ate, slept, dreamt the album, and I can’t believe it’s all finished. I would not be here without your help and support. I’m still surprised every day that it’s all done, and that I have a finished product, that I am so proud of.

The big news is that I plan to start posting out all your CDs and rewards by the end of our tour when we get home, next month.

(For anyone interested – Here is all the tour dates -

My little issue is that I’m on tour now, and don’t have the cd stock, all the different rewards, and unfortunately the spare days on tour right now this minute to deliver/post it all to you!

I hope that make sense, and understandable, as I know I wouldn’t be here with an album under my belt without all of your help!

Time has flown, my first album took 3 years for me to deliver after my crowdfunding campaign, (sorry about that for anyone who had to wait!) but if all goes to plan this album will be delivered in start to finish -  9 months. Not sure how that happened but it did!

The other big big news, (still not officially announced though!) is that the album won’t officially be released for another while yet, with a really exciting album launch planned for Temple Bar TradFest, in January with a gig in the Button Factory in Dublin’s Temple Bar! We’ll be launching the album officially then, with special guest of Ron Block flying over from Tennessee to perform with us on the night. I hope to see some of you Irish people there, there’s an open invite to you all to come even from overseas!

Your rewards will be delivered 3 months before the albums official release date, so I do hope that’s okay, and that the wait for your rewards for delivery until I get home to Ireland is understandable. I really appreciate your patience and understanding in it all.

I’ve uploaded a secret track to my SoundCloud account for you to get a secret preview listen of The Dublin Saunter, one of the tracks of the album.

I really hope you like it. https://soundcloud.com/aoifescott/secretpreviewlisten/s-dwrH9

I also hope you like the cover – I’ve been so nervous showing it to anyone!

Thanks everybody for all your support and for helping me get here, I am so so thankful. I’ll be in touch very very soon.

Happy Tuesday - Studio Blog and Pictures

Hi Everybody!

Happy Tuesday!

We've a morning off today from the studio, and I got to write a little bit about what has been happening! I've set up a new tumblr page (I dunno if that's a trendy new site, or really old one...but it looks cool!). I think it's a cool place to post thoughts, words and media, and it's pretty easy to use!

It means I've a bit of space to post pictures from the studio for you, maybe some videos, and my thoughts about what's happening to me in here.. hooooopefully you'll find it interesting. If it's boring sure, let me know as well haha!

Here's the link to the Tumblr Page : https://aoifescott.tumblr.com/

You can check it at any time to see new posts etc, it means I won't keep spamming your emails with updates!

For now - Here's a photo of my head the first day recording

Happiness is :

Thanks so much everybody,

Aoife Scott 2nd Album - Update - 'Guess Wha"

Well Everybody - Hope you are all well :)

So, We have news!

First off : We made the target last week and I haven't even had a chance to send you an update, a thank you message and how grateful I am to be here. It is amazing - we blew the target by 20%...the total was €13,263

an un-believable amount! Thank you so so so much!

...And Guess wha..

We're in the studio!!

The lack of contact from me, has been that we are literally stuck our heads in soundproof booths singing and playing our hearts out every day since the deadline. We even wrote a brand new song today and are recording it this afternoon - talk about creative vibes!

We're so excited to be here - And we couldn't have made it here without all of our support.

I recieved the list of fundit rewardee's from the fundit organisation today, so it means I can see who got involved and what rewards were chosen now! And, If it's okay with you guys, I'll send some photos to your email and maybe a sneaky video to show you what's been going on in the studio! To come over the next day or so :)

Go raibh míle míle maith agaibh,

Beir Bua,

Aoife Scott - Second Album - 1st Week Down

Hello Everybody!

(Note : You're getting this as an email cause you funded the 2nd album project on Fundit!)

So first off - I just want to say Thank you SO SO SO much for getting involved and purchasing a reward! I'm so delighted!

I am so excited for you all to be involved in the 2nd album. It is just amazing and I'm so grateful to ye all!

We're one week down and I can't get over how it took off in the first couple of days... It was nearly 50% funded in 24 hours! Unbelievable!

Right now, we're at 20 days left and at 70% funded! Which is just incredible. I couldn't have asked for a better start to the album than this. It's very excitin, and also really so amazing to know that so many people are believing this to happen. It's a pretty cool feeling!

At the moment, I can't see what rewards are bought, or who's bought them... so I can't thank ye individually just yet!

But I will! :)

We've another 30% to go, and because it's an all or nothing deal...if it doesn't reach the target, then none of it comes my way. But that's fair enough!

Fingers crossed all goes well and we reach the final target very soon!

Thanks again everybody, and thanks so much for the support!
