Argon magazine is a quarterly online Arts Fashion and Culture magazine. We have just published our second issue with our third issue for release in June 2012. The magazine focuses on highlighting the work of young creatives, celebrating Irish talent on the international stage. Argon was developed by Ruth Brophy, a make up artist and Aidan O’Neill, a photographer, both with a passion for showcasing the talent of illustrators, photographers, chefs, musicians, artists, fashion designers and jewelers.
We are a small team of four editors and are, so far, a self-funded online project, but our ambition is to print the fourth issue, which will be published in September 2012. It is our dream, after a year of online publication, to have a print edition of our magazine to further showcase the abundant talent of our contributors and creatives, who have given so generously of their time and talent to a wider audience to enjoy.
We are seeking €5,000 to cover the cost of printing and distribution in both Ireland and the UK. The cost of printing per issue will be €6.50 so our overall cost of printing alone is €6500, we are looking to self fund the excess of €1500 ourselves and the over all cost of distribution which we approximate to €1000. We appreciate any help and funding that can be given to make a small, but ambitious, team very happy.
Many thanks
Ruth and Aidan
