As Small As A World

By Morgan Crowley

Allow me to introduce myself - Born in Dublin, schooled in Westmeath and Dublin, adult studies in London, New York and Switzerland, travelled a fair bit since then.... the reviews say I'm an artist of international standing and "critically acclaimed across five continents" - and some well known characters have said very nice things about me too! (see www.morgancrowley.com)

My last CD "as large as alone", available on iTunes, was applauded by BBC critics, New York producers, listeners including Brian May of QUEEN and Riverdance composer Bill Whelan. I made the last CD on a very limited budget but maintained separateness from any record label to date and with your support I hope to continue this independent musical journey - allowing me to write and perform the music that YOU want to hear! Easy-listening would best describe the style, if a single phrase had to be selected... but it's safe to expect layers underneath the calm surface of gentle music!

The new album concept is one that refers fleetingly back to my classical roots but in an original way - bringing educated form into an alternative arena where melody and lyric reign. More importantly than anything else - I want this album to reflect YOUR ideas and suggestions....many listeners say "I could never write a song" - but every song is just an idea and everyone is capable of having an idea, therefore I reckon that together, we can put some of these ideas into the form of a set of beautiful songs for OUR first album!!! Wonderful guest artists and orchestral players are just waiting for the invitation to join us on this journey...

The funding from this venture will go towards production costs of making the actual CD - printing, duplication, manufacture, packaging - in addition to studio rental and engineering expenses, not to mention the recording sessions with some of my wonderful guest musicians and the associated costs... it all adds up, believe me!

Thanks in advance for even taking the time to read this offering and I welcome your feedback and support with an open mind and heart.

Go raibh maith agaibh go leir (that's "thank you all" in Irish for my non-Irish speaking readers!).
