Assassins

Assassins is a musical done in the style of a revue based on an idea by Charles Gilbert Jr. It tells the story of nine individuals who attempted to kill the president of the United States. With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by John Weidman, Assassins is a very real, intense, funny and gritty piece.
Being staged in Garter Lane Arts Centre, Waterford from the 28th of March to the first of April, we hope to bring this truly fantastic work to the people of Waterford in a show that is now more relevant than ever.

Andrew Holden (Director/Actor) - Previous credits include the Gate theatre ,Cork Opera House, Long Road productions and RTE radio.

Wayne Browne (Musical Director) - An AIMS award winning musical director, he has been involved with a countless number of shows over the years.

Brian Tuohy (Producer/Actor) - Has worked on many productions in many venues. Including: the Theatre Royal, The National Concert Hall and the Civic Theatre.

We have no other funding for this project outside of our box office receipts.
This project is independent and otherwise unfunded. It is being done purely for the love and quality of the piece.

-Costumes
-Props
-Set

We are extremely passionate about bringing this truly special and rarely seen piece of work to life. However, we are starting from the ground up with no budget and no funding. We are attempting to present the piece in a toned back manner, with emphasis on the truly exceptional material and the wonderful performances.
