Baring Our Ashes at 10 Days In Dublin
We are very excited to tell you that Bare Hands and the wonderful Ash Sessions have combined to bring you a mini Electric Picnic as part of 10 Days in Dublin on 11th July at 8pm in The Sugar Club. Baring Our Ashes will feature Ireland’s leading performance poets Abby Oliviera, Andre K’por and John Cummins, hilariously dark and mischievous tales from Paul Timoney along with a dazzling array of alternative/indie/folk music from Sinead White, Ria Czerniak, Red Sail, Johnny Murphy, Pearse McGloughlin and Justin Grounds. Come along if you can!
Last night we made this gorgeous little promo video complete with outtakes ;)

BARE HANDS NIGHT OF LITERARY GORGEOUSNESS!
Dearest wonderful contributors, we just want to extend another big thanks to all of you. Can you believe it? We're almost there! In less than two weeks, with a little luck and a little love, we'll have raised enough money to make a whole book of poems and photography. It'll be full of people's hearts and souls and words and secrets: it'll be a snapshot of the artistic current of this year. We are so excited, and can't believe you've all brought us this far. Without you, submitters, poets, readers, contributers, photographers - we'd just be two mad locked Irish writers with an unattainable dream. SO. In honor of your awesomeness, we have decided to throw you a party. Isn't that what people do for people they love? Of course it is. We're going to host a night of spoken word and tunes in Roasted Brown Cafe in Filmbase on Curved Street, Temple Bar, Dublin on Saturday 25th of August at 8pm and you should all come and party down with us. It's going to be filmed so we'll make you all famous too ;) Entrance is free and if you fund the journal on the night we will give you the VERY ROMANTIC LITTLE GIFT of a red rose and a handwritten poem and a Bare Hands IOU. An IOU for what? An IOU for a gorgeous copy of the forthcoming Little Anthology That Could. If you have already donated you get these gifts on the night too and we'd love you to come and celebrate with us! Editor Kerrie O'Brien will be hosting the evening, and Sub-Editor Sarah Griffin will be appearing from far, far beyond the water from her flat in San Francisco via Skype. We have a really exciting bill of performers lined up: it's going to be the party you guys deserve xx

Almost half way there!!
Hello funders!! Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has funded Bare Hands so far - we're almost half way there and there's still nearly a month to go - we are SO grateful to all of you. It's going to be a GORGEOUS journal. The submissions we've been getting are SHOCKINGLY beautiful so we can't wait to decide on the final ones. We'll be offering some little some amazing giveaways on our Facebook at the moment to spread the word about the campaign so please do add us and tell everyone you've ever met in your lives about Bare Hands! There will also be a little Bare Hands event in Dublin very very soon - we'll keep you posted! Thank you all so much again - it's really incredible to get so much support for creativity, we love you all dearly :) Kerrie & Sarah xx
