This February 26th - 28th Bloomers Theatre Group will, in their inaugural production, present two exceptional One Act Plays in Loreto, Bray under the Directorship of the award winning Seán Leahy - 'Sister Mary Ignatious Explains It All For You' & 'All's Well That Ends As You Like It'.
'All's Well That Ends As You Like It', taken from Michael Green's volume 'Four Plays for Coarse Actors', is an hilarious comedy based on a Shakespearean ideal! Green describes a coarse actor as one who can remember his lines, but not the order in which they come. Props may fail & costumes may malfunction but Dronio shall have his Duchess!
'Sister Mary Ignatious Explains It All For You' by Christopher Durang is a darkly funny yet equally tragic look at how one woman's beliefs can affect a whole generation of impressionable minds! Set in 1970's America - the return of a group of Sister Mary's past pupils highlights the possible pitfalls in the Catholic teachings of the 1950's.
But the Nuns, Nurses, Dukes & Delinquents need your help to make it to the stage!!!! We are looking for €600 in funding to cover some of the costs of producing the plays including Performance Rights, Public Liability Insurance, Costumes etc.
So check out our fabulous range of rewards and please get pledging and sharing!
