Gael Books

This rhyming children's Gaelic Football book is aimed at young readers and parents who wish to read to their young children. It is a simple story about a young boy/girl who dreams of playing at Croke Park for their county. There are two versions of the book, one where the main character is a boy and one where the main character is a girl. The book has 32-pages, colour illustrations with rhyming verse. Will the little boy and little girl make their dreams come true? Find out in the book!

We are a husband and wife team who are actively involved with our local club helping to promote various activities and events. This is our first venture into the world of publishing and one that we are very excited about. After becoming parents we found ourselves reading books to our child but really wanted to read a story to him about Gaelic Games. As life - long members it is something which is instilled in us and a love we want to pass on. This project has taken three years to reach this point as baby number two was on the way just as we were about to launch. The birth of our second child has made us determined to get this book published. We wanted a simple easy-to-read story that our boys could take interest in from a very early age

We are crowdfunding to make our dreams of having a published Gaelic Games book come true and one that will make our boys proud. The funding will go towards finishing the illustrations, printing and making a website for the book.

The money will be spent on the illustrations, printing of the books and creating a website to help promote and make the book sustainable into the future.

The risks are getting the book published in time for Christmas, but we have a strict deadline that we are following and believe that we will be able to meet that.

Thanks for reading about our project. If you want to have a Gaelic Games book for children to enjoy, please help fund us.
