Clare Sands - New Self-Titled Album

Welcome to my first Fund it campaign and thank you for reading.

I'm Clare Sands, a Cork born and bred sixth generation fiddler, multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and composer whose been living and breathing music since I played my first note at age 3.

A fearless, feisty live performer, I have been described as ‘An Irish fiddle playing reincarnation of Janis Joplin meets Moving Hearts & Kila, wowing audiences around the world with her groundbreaking style, sultry and gravelly vocals, and infinite warrior-like energy.'

For the last few years, I have been touring and travelling the world, exploring different sounds and cultures, working as a solo artist and sought after musician with the likes of The Hothouse Flowers, Jack L, Luka Bloom, Mick Flannery, SON, and many more.

I am now gearing up to record and release my debut self-titled album. Hup!

In March, I moved to Connemara on the west coast of Ireland, and set up a temporary home studio in an old cottage, to compose, write & demo my new music.

I had time to truly immerse myself in making my self-titled album, an eclectic and energetic Contemporary record rooted in Irish Traditional music, with my unique fiddle playing and voice at the heart, and core.

This album will be a pulsating journey for all the senses, with tunes to move to, and songs to get lost in....all driven, by a fearless front woman.

I am now preparing to go into the studio this November. I am excited to step into this new stage, and into a room full of incredible musicians. Together, we make a truly innovative sound, navigating through uncharted territories. We are ever evolving and forever pushing boundaries.

I would like to thank you all for supporting me so far, from the bottom of my heart.

To my family and friends, and fans old & new, I appreciate you, and thank you for allowing me to do what I do.

I would love you to join me on this journey.

Your support and contribution means so much.

Thank you, míle buíochas X

Le Grá,

Clare Sands

Challenges & Risks:

The only risk/challenge that I will face is the Covid-19 pandemic. This may upset scheduling, & reward delivery - but as we have seen, there are ways around everything.

Furthermore, I have an excellent team, knowledge in releasing music, a loyal and strong fanbase, an active social media presence, and my collaborators are the best in their fields.
