Come On Live Long have been selected to play at Canadian Music Week in Toronto (May 6th - 10th). We are also in the process of booking a tour based around our appearance at the festival. CMW is one of the biggest "new music" festivals in North America. We are honoured to be selected for such a prestigious event. Now in its 32nd year, the Canadian Music Week festival is recognized as one of the premier entertainment events in North America, with a strong focus on the business aspect of the music industry. Canadian Music Week spans 5 nights of performances, with 1,000 bands being showcased at more than 60 live music venues in downtown Toronto.
This opportunity will be our first time playing abroad; a prospect which we are extremely excited about. We aren't making any money from the festival appearance, which, being in a band, is something we have gotten used to. We are quite happy not to take a fee for ourselves but we would rather not be in debt upon our return; it's difficult enough trying to fund a completely independent band! We are hoping to raise €3000. The money raised will cover expenses, namely: equipment rental, transport and accommodation. During our twoweek tour of Canada we hope to play as many shows as possible to as many people as possible, thus launching our band in North America. We have achieved some amazing things as an independent band but this opportunity would really move us to the next stage in our artistic development. Everything we have done up to this point has been through our own commitment and hard work. Now we need a little help.
Our flights will cost €2400 for the five of us. Equipment and van rental will be around €1000. Accommodation will be €1400.
