Docklands Arts Fund - November 15

By Docklands Arts Fund

description

November is month three of six monthly Fund it campaigns - all leading to the Launch of the Docklands Arts Fund in March 2016.

This will be the first ever arts fund of its type in Ireland.

During September & October we met many businesses invested in Dublin's Docklands. In the new year - watch this space! - we'll announce some large partnership opportunities.

For the Fund it projects, we have been building a loyal team of supporters, both individuals, and groups of staff from Company social clubs. As a funder, you will receive tours of hidden Docklands and other great rewards. This month we are thrilled to finally reveal the Docklands Arts Fund Screen-Print by Chris Judge, exclusively for the Fund it campaign rewards. This Dublin characters screen-print by Chris Judge is being made in the Damn Fine Print studio and will be ready in early December. Chris is an artist/designer/illustrator living in Dublin, and he has previously completed large-scale work in Dublin's Docklands, and in Newland's Cross. His latest book Snowbeast has just been published for big and small people who love a good visual story.

See more of Chris's work here: http://www.chrisjudge.com

All Fund it pledgors will also be invited to the Docklands Arts Fund launch event in Spring 2016

This Fund it campaign is part of a bigger picture:

The full Docklands Arts Fund fundraising strategy will be made up of:
• Lead corporate sponsors/investors
• Unrestricted donations from local companies of all sizes
• Sponsorship of defined-projects
• Opportunities with employee giving & fundraising schemes
• Community crowdfunding

The Dream?

To raise the largest fund possible for arts projects from a variety of sources. We are also looking for people who will help us spread the word, and become leaders of a new way to help make creative projects in the heart of Dublin's Docklands happen.

What Next?

Pledge and join the Docklands Arts Fund. We’ll keep you posted with projects along the journey. If you enjoy being part of it, we’ll ask you to tell other people about the later campaigns… At the end you will receive your piece of Docklands Art and be invited to the launch.

The Docklands Arts Fund is led by Business to Arts, in partnership with Dublin City Council.

2017 Docklands Print Commission Pre-Sales

Dear Docklands Arts Fund supporters,

After the support and success of last year's Docklands Print Commission with Colin Martin RHA, we wanted to make sure, as friends, you are in the know about the third Docklands Print Commission by Kelvin Mann, with Stoney Road Press. This stunning etching is called 'Semi Detached High Rise' and through Fund it you have the chance to gift it to yourself, friends or clients.

There are only 140 editions, so this is your opportunity to own an exclusive print once again through the Docklands Print Commission. Please share this with friends who also love art and the docklands.

Thanks once again for your continued support - we're very excited about continuing our journey to raise funds to create art and link audiences in the Docklands area!

A Huge Thanks! We did it! Now tell us where you want the Chris Judge print to be sent....

Hi - An enormous Docklands thanks to you for helping us to get this month's Fundit campaign over the line. We were just so thrilled this month to have the fun of seeing the hand-made screenprint come to life. Chris is signing the art this week, so email jackie@businesstoarts.ie and tell me where your gorgeous art is to be sent. We will hand deliver to Dublin city and environs. Please tell your friends we still seek Corporate Champions to the fund - they will receive art while there are still prints remaining. All works ordered by 17th December will be received in time for Christmas (Ireland) - other locations, please get in touch... We look forward to a time in 2016 when the Docklands Arts Fund Open Calls will enable artists and arts organisations to apply for funding. All the best for now, Jackie jackie@businesstoarts Phone: +353 1 6629238 www.businesstoarts/artsfund/fundraising

Screen-print now being made - thanks!

Hi all - a HUGE thanks for supporting the Docklands Arts Fund. The screenprint is being made over the next week or so - and you can see images of the colours being mixed through @damnfineprint on twitter! Please share the news with friends as we are nearly there. Let's unite 'A Shower of Dubs' with a shower of others... We'll also plan a secret Docklands tour in January. We'll be in touch when the Screen-print is ready and get it to you early in December! All the best, Jackie

Behind the Scenes - see your Reward being made!

Thanks to everyone who has jumped on board with the Docklands Arts Fund.
