"End You" tells the story of Fergal, a man in his 50s, who loses his wife during the pandemic. He gets online counselling from Elena, who then turns up at his house, offering to move in and help him in-situ. Fergal has spoken in the past about wanting to die, and the film explores the strange dynamic between the two, and asks the audience moral questions about death.
If successful, all funds will go to a post-production house in Belfast. They will edit, colour grade and do sound design for the film.
A little bit about me...I graduated from East 15 Acting School in 2014 with a BA Hons in Acting. Since then I have done multiple plays, short films and audiobooks - I am currently filming my first TV series! I chose an excellent team comprising of people I've worked with previously on short films, and also brought on new creatives. All cast and crew are extremely experienced, and come from the North and South of Ireland.
This is a female-lead piece, as I am the writer/director/actor/producer - female work in the industry should be championed!
I am aiming to successfully enter the film into multiple film festivals, starting with Foyle Film Festival in Derry, which is an Oscar affiliated film festival.
Thanks a million to everyone who has taken the time to read about "End You" - I appreciate your kindness and support after a very difficult year for artists.
