We are back! And this year Foundation15 Arts Festival is set to be the best yet. The support F14 received last year was overwhelming and we simply would not be here today without the love that was shown to us. But we really need your help to make F15 happen!
Foundation15 Arts Festival is one of Ireland's fastest growing visual arts events and runs from 10th-25th of September. Taking place in Tullamore, Co. Offaly, since starting in 2013 the festival has exhibited over 100 works by Irish and international artists including works previously shown at The Venice Biennale and Tate Modern. This years festival will be our most exciting yet! F15’s 2015 Exhibition ‘Quantum Leap’ will see us exhibiting the work of over 40 Irish and International and artists plus 10 works from the Irish Museum of Modern Art as per selected by YOU as part of online public curation project. This is the first time IMMA has worked in this capacity and it’s an amazing chance for the public to get involved in the festival’s curatorial process.
But wait there’s more! Although F15 is anchored in visual arts we pride ourselves on bringing a uniquely diverse and inclusive programme of amazing music, theatre, spoken word and film events. This year we will again be working with local schools, colleges and organisations and are excited to present The F15 Educational Symposium; an extensive addition to our education program encompasses a wide variety of dedicated workshops, talks, presentations and tours.
Who are we?
The Foundation Arts Festival is non-profit initiative by Tullamore Community Arts Centre aimed at highlighting international contemporary arts practice and providing the local community with opportunities for artistic and cultural participation and engagement. Director/Curator Brendan Fox, Project Managers Claire Chaney and Laura Howe and our music co-ordinators Get ta France and our dedicated team of amazing volunteers are so excited to set in motion all that we have planned.
Why we need your help?
Community participation is at the heart of Foundation15 Arts Festival. Your support will ensure the future of the F15 Educate Program so that we can provide quality workshops, talks and tours to local community groups, colleges and schools.
It will also allow us to continue to work with organisations and charities like Tullamore Toastmasters and Offaly Hospice, helping them to raise much needed funding or simply giving them a new more visible platform to work from.
F15 and Get Ta France pride ourselves in bringing you the best of contemporary Irish music. In previous years acts like Girl Band, R.S.A.G., Sunken Foal and King Kong Company have rocked disused warehouses in Tullamore town centre and with your support this year’s line-up will truly be the most memorable yet!
Last year we awarded €2000 in prizes to emerging contemporary artists through the Foundation15 Awards Programme. Your support will enable us to continue to nurture and develop contemporary arts practice in Ireland.
A big thank you from all of the Foundation15 Team
