Hi there! Thanks for having a look at my Fund it page. I have begun recording the new Foxglove album and need your help to finish it!
This album of songs and accompanying visuals has been crafted over the last few years. It features collaborations from a host of wonderful musicians, producers, photographers, videographers and visual artists. I am so honoured to have worked with such beautiful, creative souls who have helped me realise this album and now so very excited that it is almost ready to be released.
In order to release the album to the world we need to finish recording, mix and master, create the artwork, manufacture physical copies and then promote the album for maximum exposure. To help me achieve this I’ve set the target at €4000.
Your invaluable support through the wide range of rewards on offer will directly help pay for the costs of completing this album. In return, not only will you be one of the first to receive the finished album when it comes out in March, but how about a house concert for you and your friends? Or commissioning me to write a song for someone you love? Check out the full list of rewards on the left…
Please do get pledging NOW to help make this happen! If you can spread the word and share on Facebook/Twitter etc please do!
I’ll be sure to keep you updated on the project as it progresses and hopefully we’ll be celebrating the album launch together.
Thank you so much for your support in advance!
--- Brief bio of what Foxglove has previously been up to ---
Niamh Murphy (aka Foxglove) was announced as a winner of this year’s International Songwriting Competition.
Niamh’s song ‘Shields of Fire’ won third place in the Performance Category. With over 20,000 entries from over 120 countries this is a remarkable achievement. Past winners have included Mick Flannery, Passenger and Goyote. Niamh was the only Irish entrant to reach finalist and subsequently win this year.
In 2012 Foxglove released her first EP to critical acclaim from Hotpress, The Ticket and more recently has had Steve Lillywhite, Dave Fanning, Paul McLoone and Cormac Battle shout her praises.
The last year has been a productive one for Foxglove with an RTE 1 TV appearance performing another one of her songs ‘Land’s End’ chosen personally by five time Grammy winner Steve Lillywite - “Niamh is a wonderful lyricist and singer.”
Foxglove also performed live at Dublin’s National Concert Hall, have had many live appearances on national radio and most recently being offered a music publishing deal which is currently being drafted.
