My name is Megan Fox (yes, seriously..) and I will be directing the short film 'Grosvenor Square' which I also wrote. I am a third year BA Film, Literature and Drama student and I am making this film for my masters portfolio applications & also hoping to send the short to Irish film festivals next year. We have an amazing DOP on board, Aidan Maguire - you may have seen his short documentary 'Needle Exchange' for which he won Best Short Documentary at the Galway Film Fleadh in 2011. Then of course there is our talented cast consisting of Jack Hickey, Natalia Kostrzewa and Genevieve Hulme-Beaman. Add to this already wonderful mix of individuals Niall James Holohan (lead singer of popular Dublin band Reader's Wives) who will be composing our original soundtrack.
So here's a little idea of what you can expect from 'Grosvenor Square': Adam is 26 years old, heartbroken and living with his parents after his long term girlfriend breaks up with him. After living in misery for some months he finds their old apartment is being advertised online as 'To Let' and realizes that Kasia (his beautiful but poisonous ex) has obviously moved on. He becomes obsessed with getting her back, even if it means driving himself even deeper into the depths of his own heartache and loneliness.
We need to raise €1,400 for this project and if you choose to help us your generous donation will go towards paying our hard working cast and crew, purchasing vital props, securing the best locations, and of course getting yourself some fun Grosvenor Square goodies.. or even a nice night out for you and a friend, depending on how generous you can be! ;)
We would be so grateful for any donation you can afford and appreciate your support for brand new Irish art and a film that is close to our hearts.
Thank you, Megan K. Fox & the Grosvenor Square cast and crew.
