Huxley Horror's Metamorphosis

By Huxley Horror

description

Huxley Horror community arts group coordinate an annual Halloween event in Galway which incorporates a range of art installations and exhibits, theatrical, dance and musical performances, and acrobatics.

Huxley Horror have been terrifying Galwegians with our ghoulish creations for the past 3 years and every year we get more outlandish and attract larger crowds. For this reason we've decided to double our capacity and rent a far larger venue with a professional lighting and sound company. Whilst this allows for bigger art installations, and more artists and performances it unfortunately also means far higher costs - so this is where you can help!

At Huxley Horror's collaborative multimedia event we curate a macabre ambience with a range of perverse horrors and artistry. Each year the events emulate a particular gruesome theme. Many of the installations are interactive and we encourage those attending to allow themselves to be immersed in the activities and performances.

This year’s theme is Metamorphosis where we’ll explore mind-altering and surrealist distortion through different artistic and performance mediums. These are inspired by the work of David Lynch, Franz Kafka and Maurits Cornelis Escher, to name but a few. The event will be held in the Radisson Blu, Galway on Saturday 25th October. Children are welcome from 6pm-8pm and adults only from 8pm onwards.
