The Book

For the first time in 6 of the most pivotal years in the organisation's history, ICAD is working towards the publication of a book of award winning creative work. This book will be one of the largest of its kind in the organisation's history and will comprise award winning work from 2016—2021. As well as showcasing every awarded project from the past 6 years, it will also list our current membership and act as a who's who of top class creatives operating in Ireland. The book will also include a directory of professional services relevant to the industry, making it a must have for practicing creatives. The purpose of this campaign is not to make a profit, and if successful, 100% of the funds received through Fund it will be spent on the costs incurred in the production and distribution of 2016—2021 ICAD Awards books.

 

The Design

The book will consist of 288+ pages printed full colour on mixed stock, and thread sewn. The book will be designed by Distinctive Repetition, award winning Dublin design studio, and will be printed to the highest standards.

 

Why It's Important

ICAD has over 60 years of experience recording and preserving a record of creative excellence, and we are delighted to be able to continue this tradition after 6 years without an ICAD Awards book. It is vital for ICAD, our members and our industry the we produce objects such as this to act as a real time resource, as a means to promote our members' work in Ireland and abroad, and as a way to preserve and celebrate the legacy of award winning work and to ensure the continued success of our industry. Programmes such as the ICAD Awards Programme inspire us all and keep us striving for better, and as such projects, events and objects which record the winners are essential in ICAD's pursuit to Foster, Promote and Reward creative excellence.

Due to government funding and sponsorship we have already partly funded this project, however we need the support of you, our members. By pre-ordering this book, you ensure a lasting record of award winning Irish advertising and design, and secure a copy of the book for your own collection. We know you will understand the importance of this project and the undertaking it is for the organisation after the past two years of uncertainty. ICAD is a not for profit and without the continued support of our membership, projects like these simply cannot happen.
