Inni-K Debut Album

By Inni-K

description

‘Smart and tuneful indie-folk singer-songwriter’ Irish Times

‘Inni-K is a force to watch. She is more than a singer, more than a musician and she is both in great measure.’ Liam Ó Maonlaí

‘her melodic folk-pop which utilises ukelele, fiddle, piano and a loop pedal made an impression.’ Nialler9

‘a winsome clutch of inventively arranged, instantly catchy and occasionally bilingual tunes.’ Time Out New York

My name is Inni-K. I’m a singer, musician and songwriter from Co. Kildare, Ireland. I’m very excited to announce that this January, I'll be recording my new album; for release in April 2014, and I would love to invite you to join me and the rest of the team involved in making this happen!

The songs for this record have been brewing and developing over the past three years, inspired by all that life has brought my way, from the passing of my father to touring the world with Fabulous Beast Dance Theatre Company; from living in An Ghaeltacht in Dingle by the ocean to moving back home closer to Dublin; from meeting some very special people along the way, and so much more. Music seems to be my way to process life; it also brings people together in a way that is rare, that’s where the magic happens for me! I feel very honoured that my work is to be part of that exchange.

Your invaluable support through the wide range of rewards on offer, will directly help pay for the costs of producing this album - the engineering, mixing, mastering, designing and manufacturing. In return, not only will you be one of the first to receive the finished album when it comes out in April; but how about a house concert for you and your friends? a singing workshop? or commissioning me to write a song for someone you love? Check out the full list of interesting rewards for more…

I’m very lucky to have a great team around me for this project! I’ll be joined by the wonderful Brian Walsh on percussion, along with some other pretty special guest musicians. Producer Jason Boshoff is also onboard; Jason produced by EP Gentle Star in London in 2012 and we’re both looking forward now to bringing what we achieved on the EP to the next level. Jason has also previously worked with artists such as Lisa Hannigan, Elbow, David Grey, John Smith and many more.

This Fund it campaign will only run until 13 Dec. folks!! So do please get pledging NOW to help make this happen! If you can spread the word and share away too, please do!

I’ll be sure to keep you updated on the project as it progresses, and in April we’ll hopefully be celebrating at the album launch tour together!! We will be touring extensively when the album is released so do let us know which towns and cities we should play!

Thank you so much for your support in advance!
