WHAT IS KEEP SKETCH?

Keep Sketch is a small, collaborative design and illustration project, inspired by traditionally-styled stationary, doodling, burning paper planes and doing things you shouldn't be doing. In 2010, we made a small run of natural wood hexagonal pencils with silver ferrules and white erasers, foil-blocked with the words "Keep Sketch". Now, we're planning to produce a series of limited-edition Keep Sketch notebooks, featuring covers designed by four of our favourite Irish designers, and we need your help to make this happen.

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP

Keep Sketch aims to support and promote our favourite Irish designers by producing finely-crafted, beautiful and practical stationary made in close collaboration with them. If you could help us out in any way, and pledge whatever amount you can, you will be playing a huge part in making this project come to life. As well as being happy in the knowledge that you are supporting something great, you'll also get the chance to pick up some very special and exclusive rewards, including Keep Sketch notebooks, pencils, tote-bags and badges.

THE NOTEBOOKS

We want to make a series of simple, but beautiful, rough-and-ready notebooks for your back pocket. Notebooks for filmmakers, fishermen, photographers, teachers, architects, doctors, busy working mums and pretty much anyone who ever finds themself with an idea they want to put to paper. The notebooks will be perfect-bound, with a natural cover made from 100% recycled cardboard, and will contain approximately 75 sheets of 80gsm 100% recycled plain white paper. The words "Keep Sketch" will be printed on the cover, as rendered by each of the four designers. The designers will be Ross Henderson (APT Designs), Dave Comiskey, Fuchsia Macaree and Karl Toomey (Synth Eastwood), and we're delighted to have them on board for the project.

THE OTHER REWARDS

As well as the notebooks, we are also offering our Keep Sketch pencils as rewards, alongside exclusive Keep Sketch badges designed by Philip Kennedy (Fieldwork / The Fox is Black), produced in a very limited run, and only available here. We will also be producing a very small run of hand screenprinted tote-bags designed by illustrator Mark Crawford, based on one of his own sketches which will again, only be available here.
