This album features 11 songs with influences from the worlds of soul, blues, tango, pop and classical - a gleefully irreverent, sacred, sexy take on Creation.
A thrilling cabaret-style song cycle by Éadaoin O Donoghue and John O'Brien, performed by Karen Underwood, with Dave Whitla on bass, Fionn Ó Ceallacháin on drums, and John O'Brien on piano and recorded live at the Cork Midsummer Festival 2019.

The original live performance of LILITH was commissioned by The Cork Midsummer Festival with funding through The Arts Council, the show premiered at the festival in 2019.

We have invested a considerable amount of time and resources in creating a beautiful album and can't wait to share it with the world. This Fund it campaign will specifically pay for the physical CD's, distribution costs, production management, marketing and pr costs and most importantly artists fees.

Performed by Karen Underwood, Ireland’s very own soul diva best known for her shows Ladies Lost & Found and The Nina In Me. Karen has toured nationally and internationally to critical and popular acclaim. 

Music by John O'Brien with lyrics by Éadaoin O'Donoghue, the duo who brought you the opera adaptation of The Nightingale and the Rose, co-produced with The Everyman for a national tour in 2018.

On LILITH Karen performs with John O’Brien on piano, Dave Whitla on bass and Fionn Ó'Ceallacháin on drums.
The project is produced by Naomi Daly who has worked extensively with this team.

As is the case with many of our colleagues in the arts community we have faced considerable challenges in doing this during the Covid-19 restrictions, we have postponed a tour until 2021 but have created a launch and marketing plan which will see the successful release of this project through digital channels and online sales of the CD.

We have set up this campaign to source the funding for the launch of the CD of the live recording of Lilith. This campaign will ensure the artists are paid fairly, a quality product is produced and marketed appropriately.
