About Luan & New Album
I have just finished recording my latest album which will be my fourth album release & my second as an independent artist. I recorded an EP a few years back which was also an independent release. I cannot tell you how excited I am to share this new collection of music with you which is now mastered & I need your help to get it over the line and onto the next stage.
I recorded the album in Kilkenny with Thomas Donoghue. The 10 tracks are originals, 2 of which are co writes with Dire Straits guitarist Hal Lindes. I was lucky to have some exceptionable musicians play on the album including LA based Hal Lindes, renowned guitarist Clive Barnes, New York based violinist Deni Bonet who tours with Cyndi Lauper, Gavin James's pianist Geoff Warner Clayton, drummer Colm Dowling & mandolin player Richie Foley. I returned to my country & folk roots with this album which has been an absolute joy to make. I have spent the past few years touring extensively throughout Ireland, UK, United States, Finland, Germany, Czech Republic & Slovakia.
One of my favourite tracks on the album is called 'Never Say Goodbye' which is also the name of the album. The song is a tribute to my dad as it was with him I started this musical journey all those years ago.
Crowdfunding - How You Can Help
This will be my first time to embark on crowdfunding but in today's music industry it's a necessity for independent artists. By pledging a reward you will help towards the costs of artwork, manufacturing, merchandise, marketing, PR, website & touring costs.
I must raise the amount in 4 weeks which could be challenging. Hopefully with regular updates & your support we will meet the deadline and get this project over the line.
I received a bursary from the Arts Council which helped towards some of the recording costs. The remainder was funded solely by myself which involved studio recording time, paying musicians, mixing & mastering costs.
Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my Fund it project, for considering & supporting in advance. I really hope we can get this album over the line and into your homes. I'll see you on the road for my Irish tour in Feb.
