Lyrics is a darkly comic, yet heartfelt play with original music about the chance encounter of two singer-songwriters.
Set after hours following a Dublin City Centre Open Mic, these two misfits forge a connection that rapidly zig-zags from their deepest truths to their most embarrassing secrets.
With the knowledge that she must board a flight to New York the very next morning, Lyrics examines chance, connection and what it means to feel understood.

We're delighted to announce that Lyrics has been programmed for two weeks over the course of March and April in one of Dublin's most prominent city centre venues that exhibits a proven track record of producing some of Ireland's best new writing. We've assembled an incredible team of artists, so, now, it's time to meet them:
Lyrics will star Danielle Galligan (The Train, The Heiress, All Honey, Cinderella) and Tom Moran (The Rivals, Fierce Notions, Aladdin, Romeo and Juliet). 
Following their collaboraton of Moran's last play, The Belly Button Girl in 2016, Romana Testasecca (SYRIUS, The Belly Button Girl) will once again direct and co-produce this piece. 
LIR Graduate, Ciara Murnane (Disco Pigs, Sucking Dublin, Happy Birthday Jacob) is heading up the Set and Costume Design. 
Ellie Hendry (The Rivals, Cinderella, The Snow Queen) will be at the helm as Stage Manager.

As of now, we have ensured an excellent venue, creative team, cast, script and brand new original music. Now, all we need is your help to give them the resources need to bring our collective vision to life. 

Theatre is an expensive business and, as of now, SQUAD Productions are completely unfunded, so we are relying on the "kindness of strangers" i.e friends and family.

We know this is a massive ask when there are so many worthwhile casues in desperate need of financial backing which is why we massively appreciate you giving us your time and attention. We believe Lyrics has the raw potential to be very special. We hope you agree!
