It's been a long journey since our first album, 'Dinosaur' (John, Shelly & the Creatures, as we were then known) and having our track 'Long May You Reign' on the Northern Ireland Tourist Board adverts.
It's still the same band but this time around we've grown a little.
A lot has happened to us over the course of the last two years and all these new experiences have to come out in the songwriting.
This album has become so much more than a collection of songs. It's become a collection of memories of friends we've lost, troubles that we all face, instances of witnessed courage and hope.
As luck would have it we got a copy of the demo-ed songs to Ken Nelson (Producer of Coldplay, Badly Drawn Boy, Gomez, Embrace, The Charlatans, Feeder, Paulo Nutini & Howling Bells), he really liked it and decided to be involved in the making of the album. Having someone of Ken's stature tell us he really liked the songs and would like to be involved in the project gave us the added encouragement to make sure we make the best record possible.
The second album, which will be self-titled, has been written and mostly recorded and partly mixed, now we just need to mix 7 songs, master all 12 songs and release it!
We've already provisionally booked time in two different studios to mix and master the record and we're aiming to have the finished physical copies in our mits by September 2012.
We'd love to have you involved in the project to help cover the costs of mixing, mastering, album duplication, artwork, photography and the initial month of release PR.
Through a wide range of rewards on offer, you will be making our second album a reality.
Thank you so much for giving us the chance to make this record a reality.
Walter, Phil, Ger and Kev.
