I'm an 18 year old singer-songwriter from Wexford in sixth year studying for my leaving cert.
When I was fourteen years old I picked up a guitar for the first time, taught myself a few chords and haven't put it down since!
Song-writing is a form of expression for me and I spend my time busking in Wexford. I was invited to open for Áine Cahill in the Grand Social in September and frequently play local gigs in my area.
I spent the summer busking, and with great thanks to the very kind people who threw money in my case (even the odd Snickers bar) I was able to afford weekly time in the studio. Yes it was a hectic summer, but it was extremely fulfilling!I left the studio at the end of the summer with an EP that contains six original songs including one that was recorded and produced by Ryan O’Shaughnessy.
I also released a music video for my single Tainted, with special thanks to Alex Eydt (videography) and of course Brendan at Orchard Recording.
I’m politely asking if people could dig deep into their pockets (and their hearts) in order to help me get this EP over the line, in all its glory. I am beyond excited at the prospect.
So although the production part is finished, your generous contributions are needed specifically to help fund the replication, print and promotional material (posters, artwork, etc), as well as the venue for the EP launch.
An abundance of hard work and love (not to mention an abundance of coffee!) has gone into the writing and recording this EP. Every single contribution is absolutely hugely appreciated, ten-fold.
Despite the challenges that have arisen during the production of this EP, I have successfully overcome them - like having to get loans from my parents for example and paying them back promptly (and realising they don't accept Snickers bars as part payment either).
All that remains now is for me to say a HUGE thank yiu for everyone's support and I look forward to delivering on my pledge commitments - with every contribution making all the difference to my goal.
