Fresh off a summer of mainstage gigs at the Electric Picnic, Liss Ard, and Body & Soul Festivals, as well as nationwide tours with Delorentos, The Funeral Suits, and Dry The River, and special guest appearances with The Futureheads, Jape, and The Minutes, Moscow Metro are set to record their much anticipated debut self titled E.P in December 2012. Described as a band that could "definitely go on to great things" (Goldenplec, 2012), four piece Moscow Metro have spent the last year defining a unique style that melds sincerity and aggression in a dense melancholic core. In a time when the music industry is swamped with buzz word indie bands with banal globalised sounds, Moscow Metro instead offer a sound that is "heartfelt and mature beyond their years" (The Magic Bulletin, 2012) in the form of energetic yet skeletal social commentary focused on the city around them and its effect on their lives.
Moscow Metro have committed every last penny to get this far, but unfortunately have still come up short, and need an additional €1000 in order to finish their debut recording. The band have been fortunate enough to secure a world class producer in one of Ireland's top recording studios, and with your generosity, Moscow Metro will finally be able to bring their unique and exciting sound to a larger audience. If you would like to help Moscow Metro and contribute to the project, you can do so by choosing one of the rewards, which have been made available on Fund it for amounts up to €100. All digital and physical E.P's will be available from February 2013.
Please help if you can a be a part of something special.
