New Dublin Voices Irish Christmas CD

By New Dublin Voices

description

What will make our new Christmas CD extra special is that every carol is by a composer or arranger who is Irish. Much-loved world-wide favourites will be recorded in beautiful, fresh new versions, alongside Christmas music that entirely new and original. Irish composers and arrangers regularly send their music to New Dublin Voices which is therefore well placed to choose a very attractive and diverse selection drawing on both established composers and those of the new generation. These include Seán Doherty, winner of multiple awards including Feis Ceoil’s choral composition prize no fewer than four times since 2009, and Eoghan Desmond, recent winner of the Seán Ó Riada Prize and whose pieces are now sold by leading choral music publishers Sulasol. New Dublin Voices is proud and excited to work with these and all our composers and to bring their wonderful music to an even wider audience.

Bernie Sherlock is an internationally-acclaimed conductor with vast choral experience both at home and abroad. She is extremely skilled at programming, which is why the choices of music for our new CD will be so innovative and appealing.

As a result of fundraising the choir already has a portion of the necessary money in place. However, we need the help of family and friends via Fund:It to see the project through to completion.

New Dublin Voices is not in receipt of any centralised funding at all. We hold concerts throughout the year, sometimes making money from them in addition to our winnings at international choral competitions. But every concert, every trip and every project costs money, without which this amazing choir would eventually go quiet.

If a project doesn't reach its target within 49 days it doesn't get funded at all, meaning the our target figure is the minimum we need to raise in order to receive any of your kind contributions. Money won't be taken from your account until the campaign is over and we know whether we’ve reached the target or not.

:fund:it also take an 8% administrative fee to cover their costs.

New Dublin Voices would like to thank you sincerely for your kind donation to our project - it really means a lot. We will do our very best to make a wonderful CD of extremely high quality, produced in part by our generous donors - thank you!
