oneTree365 -The Book

OneTree365 - The Book is a record of the photographic art project that I have undertaken since December 4th last year.

As well as being a horticulturist, I am a garden writer and photographer writing for The Irish Garden and UR Dream Home magazines. The photographs throughout the year capture not only the year of the tree, also the full gamut of west of Ireland sky and cloud patterns, and the beauty of the west of Ireland.

The project will end on December 3rd. At present the book is being designed and will be printed in early 2014. The costs involved with the project are for printing and distribution. The printing and production of the book is dependent on the funding target to be reached.

I have decided to self publish the book and use crowd funding to achieve the goal as it is an expensive project and probably not of huge commercial interest to book publishers. Self publishing allows me to maintain full artistic control of the project and not have to bend to a publishers commercial considerations.

The oneTree365 project will also be a photographic exhibition/installation in Charlestown Arts Centre in Co. mayo in March 2014.

The colour hard back book features 60 pages, each page featuring 7 days of photographs and a quotations.
