WHAT IS OPEN HOUSE DUBLIN?
Open House Dublin is the biggest celebration of architecture in Ireland presented by the Irish Architecture Foundation. Over one weekend in October, buildings of all types and periods open their doors to more than 27,000 citizens and visitors allowing them to explore the architecture of the capital completely for free to the public.
Open House Dublin showcases the wealth and breadth of Irish architecture, from the splendor of Georgian Dublin to the breathtaking contemporary spaces and places created by international names such as Daniel Libeskind and Santiago Calatrava.
A very significant and sought after aspect of Open House Dublin is the production of the book, designed by award winning studio, Conor and David.
This beautiful souvenir publication, of approximately 100 pages, contains full colour images by well-known architectural photographers and a description of each building in Open House Dublin. It is more than a tool to navigate you around the city; it acts as a guide to quality design in Dublin.
10,000 of these are printed and they are snapped up in days.
WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
Because the book is a valuable tool and guide to the best quality architecture in Dublin. No other book like it exists. If we don?t reach our target the book will not be produced this year.
Because we want as many people as possible to have access to this book it is offered free of charge and is distributed across Dublin through our information centre, schools and public libraries. However, it is challenging for Open House Dublin to continue to produce the book free of charge, this is why we are asking for your help through FUND: IT.
A HUGE Open House Dublin thank you for your help!
