About The Carrot's Tail
Our 100% plant based cafe will serve a range of food and drinks for breakfast, lunch and weekend brunch. Ranging from home made scones and sausage rolls to pancakes, mac&cheese and burgers, all without animal products or cruelty. Below you will see a copy of our food menu and on our Instagram/ Facebook page you can get a better idea of what our dishes will look like: https://www.instagram.com/thecarrotstail/ & https://www.facebook.com/thecarrotstail/
The Zero waste retail shop will carry a range of products (nuts, seeds, grains etc) which can be purchased loose; a vegan & zero waste butcher counter (cheese, sausages, bacon etc) and non-food zero waste items (soap, toothpaste and body lotion).
Finally, we will also have a space where local artists can showcase their products with our commission being donated to Irish charities.
Why we need your help
Having already purchased the Lease for this large unit (and spending a lot of the budget on it), we need your help to purchase some of the required kitchen equipment (to avoid cross contamination from using existing equipment). That will eat up about half of this money with the other half required to refurbish and decorate the cafe in a manner that ties in better with our eco friendly beliefs and quirky style.
The People behind The Carrots Tail
The Carrot's Tail is owned by Sebastian, Jeny and our cat Cornelia :)
We started this idea 18 months ago, a little after we decided to go vegan ourselves when noticing that it wasn't that easy to eat out, or find snacks. With Sebastian having a Business Degree and Jenny being a Chef/Graphic Designer we decided to start this crazy project, that wants to bring new options to the people of Ireland, with a bit of humour and zero discrimination or waste. Everyone is welcome at the Carrot's Tail :)
The risks
Besides bankruptcy, divorce and cows taking over the world when we stop eating them, we don't really see any risks. The Future is Vegan and has a Carrot in the name.
The idea behind crowdfunding is to allow us to build out our vision and dream while giving our customers the best possible experience. It turns out that opening a cafe in Dublin is rather expensive :)
Finally a huge thank you to everyone that has already supported us and everyone that will support us by becoming customers. Without you this wouldn't be possible, and we can't wait to bring our food to all of you. See you Soon :)
