Record (deluxe Version) - free copy + update
Since your invaluable help to release my debut album lots has been happening : interest in the album has continued to grow and album tracks now have close to 10,000 listens on bandcamp alone. I have toured to the US Sweden, Czech Republic, UK, and around Ireland. Songs have been played on RTE TV and Radio, TG4, Lyric Fm, Newstalk and 98fm.
The album got a wider release last year and was met with great reviews : RTÉ called it "starkly brilliant" and "a deeply personal and deeply moving piece of work" while The Irish Times described it as
“an audacious and seriously intelligent suite of songs”. The Sunday Times described me as "an exquisite songwriter".
The songs also formed the basis of a radio drama commissioned by RTÉ Radio and written and directed by me, which was nominated for the Prix Europa Radio Prize and which won a Silver Medal for Best Editing at the New York Radio Festivals Awards. You can listen to it and/or download it here: http://www.rte.ie/drama/radio/plays/what-is-life/2013/0424/647395-specials-science-recordbydylantighe/

Wishing you all a great Christmas,
Huge Thanks to everyone who has become a part of the project through funding so far. I am overwhelmed by the support. With your help I hope to make a real contribution in helping to shift thinking around issues of emotional distress and to interrogate the concept and myths of 'mental illness' by means of the power of art, imagination, music and theatre, so thanks so much for helping make that ambition a reality. The performance side of things is motoring well and rehearsals start the week after next. There are 3 days left now with the funding campaign so please share with anyone you think may be able to contribute. I look forward to letting to hear the album very soon!
Hi all, firstly thanks a million to all who have funded so far.
All is full steam ahead with the album- I've been in the mastering studio where we cut a one-off test Vinyl pressing and its sounding great! There's only a couple of weeks left so please spread the word to anyone who you think may be able to help out! all your help to make this happen is so much appreciated, thank you!
I just want to say a massive thank you to all of you who have contributed to my Fund It campaign so far. I have recently been in Berlin at the LaborBerlin film lab working on 16mm material for a music video with film maestro Paul Prendergast. This footage, a combination of original, found and treated 16mm will also feature in the performance. I'm looking forward to sharing it with you all.
I’ve been overwhelmed by the contributions so far €2,250. I’ve 26 days left to raise the remaining €6,250, so if you know of anyone interested in supporting my project, please spread the word.
