Come join us on Sherkin Island this August 15-17th to experience a festival with a difference. Sherkin Responsibilities, in its second year, is a very new and independent festival headlining mature and musically evolved bands like Kíla and The Pale to creatively explosive new bands like Cold Comfort, The Shed, Quangodelic, Elly O Keefe & Band, Tomás McCarthy & Band, Séan's Walk, Lynda Cullen, with more acts yet to confirm. DJs will feature as well. Why not converge those two things we all love, great music and the beauty of nature.
We invite you to join in the 'craic agus ceol' and 'go sherkin your responsibilities' on this sensuous island in the wilds of West Cork. Camping is included as well as toilet facilities. Ferry is included in all tickets bought on Fund it.
Tickets vary in price, depending on how many you want to buy. There are limited rewards for each one, so get your tickets fast. It will start on Friday 15th August at around 8pm and run until 1am; on Saturday 16th August it will start at 1pm until 1am; and on Sunday 17th August, from 1 or 2pm.
Tickets are non-refundable.
Please remember that cars are not allowed on the Island. If you wish to drive over, get on to me in advance and I might be able to arrange a discount for a camper van, however, cars are not allowed.
This Fund it campaign is to help cover event costs such as insurance, the stage, marquees perhaps, sound and lighting equipment, porta-loos, the ferry costs, transport of heavy goods, generators, tower light, security, bands, djs, videographers, travel and other production costs, the sound engineers, promotional packaging such as t-shirts, flyers and the tickets themselves, their design and printing production plus a lot, lot more.
Other advice about coming to Sherkin Island and the festival:
Last year the festival was a complete success. If I am successful this year in reaching my target, I will e-mail you with detailed information about ticket collection and more.
Food and beverages will be available in the festival field itself. There will be a diverse selection: pizzas, crepes, perhaps hotdogs and freshly grilled mackerel, coffee, juice bar and more as well as the the Islander's Rest Hotel.
I also recommend those camping to do a smart shop in advance in Skibbereen, there is a LIDL on the road to Baltimore. Buy ideal foods for camping such as fruit, crackers, salad things, biscuits, water and other beverages. WATER is very important.
Further Accommodation is available at the

There is a recycling station on the Island, please don't litter but dispose of it in one of the available bins supplied. There is no ATM on Sherkin Island and it is better to go to one in Skibbereen, in case the one in Baltimore is broken.
Thanks very much for taking the time to check out this campaign.
