On the 28th and 29th of July, we have two shows back to back in the Sean O'Casey Theatre. From 7.30 to 9.30 on the Thursday and Friday of that month. We have one rehearsal space at the moment, and two months to rehearse with the two casts. The two shows serve as a showcase of what is to come from the company. We plan for a full week run of each of the shows before Christmas and in the new year. These nights will serve as a chance to gain feedback and see what could be developed more within the themes of the shows.
Hubris is centered in inner-city Dublin. Primarily about a young man, Anthony, trying to get his life back on track after being released from prison, which thanks to a few unsavory characters from his past, he is finding it this an obstacle and struggles with his own mentality throughtout the show.
The Damned is a gothic horror centered in England in the early 1900's. The play is centered in a Georgian house. Mr A, the owner of the house is a man of the time, professional, loves his work..slightly reclusive and is married to a woman that is his oppsite in everyway. Which in turn..both become bitter and hateful.
Run time of both shows, is about 2 hours.

We want to bring challenging and thought provoking work to the world of Theatre. Through realism and audience participation. We hope to create an outlet, through showcases and workshops for the emerging artists of the city.
750€ is the budget.
560€ - Venue hire for Dress & Tech. 80€ a hour in Sean O'Casey Theatre.
50€ - Lights and sound technician
50€ - Transport for stage decoration. Man in a van.
40€ - Towards props.
50€ - Towards advertising, posters, Flyers etc.
The biggest risk to us is once reaching the target...getting the funds to the venue in time for us to have at least 8 hours point to point rehearsal. If it need be...we can reduce the hours needed if the target is not reached. But it is still an expense we can not fully provide. We are still in the early stages of bringing our provoking ideas to life.
Thank you so much for your help! Your kind contributions will help provide the next generation of writers and actors...the incentive to keep going and create challenging work.
