Spook Screen was created by him as a celebration of horror and Halloween and has now developed into a brand new festival.
Combining a love of vintage horror with the newest short films and upcoming talent SPOOK SCREEN is a festival that will feature horror icon guests, screenings of both classic and contemporary features and shorts from all over the world.
The festival will also showcase spooky offerings by Irish authors and Irish comic creators as well as a creepy photography collection (which will be a European premiere) and a practical horror SFX workshop.
our guests include:
Madeline Smith (hammer horror and former Bond girl) Nicholas Vince ( Hellraiser and night breed as well as Marvel comics) Meg Foster (Masters of the Universe, They Live, Pretty little Liars)
The budget will be spent in the following Areas - Producing a booklet for the festival - paying for the special guests - t-shirt printing - securing rights to show films (features) - advertising the festival - the practical side of running the festival (drivers/accommodation/food and drink) - Rental of the cinema
the pundit here would cover half of these costs we would cover the remaining cost ourselves.
We all work for Deepred productions, in terms of our experience in 2016 we held the original spookscreen event which was a huge success, we have also held a number of special screenings and a number of fundraisers both home and abroad.
the logistics of holding the event will be the main challenge, We will overcome this both with our experience of holding other events and also with a team of volunteers.
The project became very ambitious as we got a great response from a number of horror Icons which has prompted additional costs. We believe the audience that have given us great feedback could help us to create a great event for all. we are only looking for half the cost the rest we will fund ourselves and with sponsors for the event.
Thank you for taking the time to read about our festival and for getting a glimpse into what we are trying to achieve. any and all support would be greatly appreciated by everyone and we hope to see you at this unique celebration of horror and the macabre
