The Fetch Wilson

By The Corps Ensemble

This thrilling new play brings you to places you shouldn't go (but want to) while asking one question: how well do you really know yourself? Inspired by the worlds of Edgar Allen Poe and Chuck Palahniuk, 'The Fetch Wilson' is an exciting new collaboration between The Corps Ensemble and award-winning writer Stewart Roche (Revenant, The Snake Eaters, Tracer).

If successful, the money raised will go directly to our on-the-ground costs once we get to Edinburgh including extra flyer printing, social media promotion, and our super energetic street team! Any funds raised above our target goal will go towards the many other costs associated with creating a brand new show.

'A young, energetic and fearless company' (Examiner)

The Corps Ensemble was founded in 2015 by a small group of actors and theatre practitioners who believe that theatre should be about taking risks, aesthetically and physically, about breaking down the barriers between audience and performer.

Stewart Roche trained at the Gaiety School of Acting. His first play ‘Curious Tales for Christmas’ had its world premiere at Theatre Upstairs in December 2012 and has recently been published.  His full length play ‘Revenant’ had its world premiere in the New Theatre in November 2013 and was nominated for the Stewart Parker Award. His latest play ‘Wringer’ will be produced by Bewleys Cafe Theatre in October 2018.

There are always challenges to creating a new show, but we have gathered a class team of makers and practitioners to help us ensure that the show will be a resounding success. The Corps Ensemble is a 100% self-sustained theatremaking collective. We are an unfunded company working to present theatre of an international standard to audiences of all shapes and sizes. The ongoing love and support of our audiences allows us to continue to bring our most ambitious dreams from page to stage.

Since our debut in 2016, our audience has shown us tremendous encouragement and support. We thank you for everything you've done to help us get this far -- we wouldn't be here without you!
