The Paul K Band - Debut Album

Right! Here I Go!........My name is Paul K and I am a Westport based songwriter and pianist and frontman for the three-piece: The Paul K Band. We have shared the stage with Deacon Blue, Duke Special, Imelda May, Arlo Gutherie and are currently working on material for my debut album.

I am joined on stage by Raphael D. on Percussion and Noel Walsh on Bass. Our sound, as a piano fronted three piece rock band is a rare thing these days and I am really excited about getting our debut Album out there where you can enjoy listening to it as much as we will enjoy making it.

The approach the the Album is two pronged: firstly to finally release what is years in the making and secondly, to utilise the producing skills of Bart de Boer and the brand new Clew Bay Recording Studio in Westport. The Album will feature many other musicians based around the Westport area and is an exciting project, one which the band are really looking forward to producing.

This is a long time coming, and I have written around 50 songs in the last six months so the challenge is to pick our best 14...no easy task I can tell you!!

We also hope to film the whole experience, from song conception right through to mastering to give viewers an overview of how the recording process was achieved and what the ideas behind each song were. This will be produced as a mini-documentary in conjunction with the Album

Rehearsals have just begun, and the songs are beginning to take on a life of their own, which is an exciting part of the process!

Up to this point, our resources have been really stretched, and we have taken the crowdfunding route as we really want to give these songs the best treatment they deserve by using the best musicians and the best studio in the West. The money from the Crowdfunding will go directly to Recording, Mastering, Promotion, Filming, Artwork and physical CD's.
