My name is Úna Keane. I'm a Composer from Dublin, Ireland. I'm releasing my first Album of Piano Compositions in April, and I'd love you to be involved in helping me put out the record.
As I've grown over the last few years to appreciate simplicity & minimalism in all its forms - in the way I live, eat and dress, it's come through in my music as well.
The Album was conceived over 3 trips to Paris between 2015 & 2016, while staying at Le Centre Culturel Irlandais. This is where I started to compose the Album. I've been so lucky with all the amazing support I received there, including a commission to compose a piece of music after a Seamus Heaney poem. Back home in Ireland, 2 x week-long stays in a rented cottage in the wilds of the Beara Peninsula with my mobile recording studio, plus long walks in Dublin's Phoenix Park with my Irish Terrier Indie provided further inspiration.
Your support through this Fund it Campaign will enable me to complete this record. The recordings are in the can, and now I need your help to fund mixing, mastering, artwork & duplication.
My co-pilot on this project has been my long-time friend and gifted sound engineer & producer Ben Rawlins. Ben managed to capture the intimate, raw vibe I was after in studio. We chose a space with naturally warm acoustics, took the front off the Piano, and I played. I've also been drawing on my background in Music Tech & Orchestration - adding strings to some of the pieces, as well as some other sounds I've recorded on my travels over the past year or so..
