Hey all, we’re Whitetrash (Officially ‘Whitetrash and the Spearheaded Sparraw Hawks’), a Dublin/Kildare based band.
Our music extends to a variety of genres inclusive of blues, country, folk, rock, bluegrass & jazz all encapsulating a highly Americana driven sound.
Whitetrash himself emits a raw, gritty vocal, greatly inspired by Tom Waits, with further influences by Howlin' Wolf and Johnny Cash, while the rest of the band layers an appropriate accompaniment to each song no matter how mellow or solid it might be.
For the past few years, Whitetrash has been gigging a lot in the Dublin scene, with a string of festivals around Ireland.
We are planning to release our debut 5-track EP on March 25th in the Grand Social, Dublin. Up until now, we have been self-funded and have been lucky in getting opportunities here & there to help with the recording of the EP. It’s been a long road for us in finally achieving some great sounding recordings that we hope you’ll all find as satisfying as we do. The finishing touches are currently being made, and we’re nearly ready to release this awesome beast!
We're hoping to get as many people involved with this project, so we can all work together to make it as successful as possible.
We require funding in order to pay for the remaining mixing (€100), mastering (€200), CD pressing(€900), and finish helping with the launch night. All additional funds we receive will be used in order to help make a music video and to boost the band’s profile further. We really hope to beat our target with your help.
