My partner, Liam Flynn, died on 8th April 2017, having turned forty-eight on 4th April. Shortly before his death, Liam wrote “I feel as if I’ve been making the same piece for almost thirty years”. This brief sentence speaks to Liam’s dedication, that his work was always recognizable even as it evolved over the years, and that he fit such a long, creative career into so short a life. Liam lived well, achieved much, and his work remains with us. “Fluid Forms “is my remembrance of Liam.
