Harriet O'Carroll, born in 1941 in Co. KIlkenny. She began Her writing career in 1979 with short stories and poetry, before moving to writing for radio, TV and stage. Among the TV programmes she has written for are Fair City and Glenroe (RTE), and Aristocrats (BBC). A number of her radio plays have been broadcast on BBC Radio 4. She has won a multitude of literary awards. Many of her poems have been published by literary journals. Today "Harry" a sufferer from Parkinson's lives in Dublin.
